Ohio Public Health Information Warehouse

Welcome to the Ohio Public Health Data Warehouse (OPHDW). The data in this web application are derived from source documents gathered in the course of Ohio Department of Health (ODH) business (e.g., birth certificates), public health surveillance activities (e.g., behavioral risk factors), or from external sources (e.g., U.S. Bureau of the Census). The OPHDW application stores large volumes of public health data to support on-going activities such as surveillance, investigations, assessments, grant writing, and evaluations. The application improves the efficiency and quality of ODH’s dissemination practices; facilitates the availability of "raw data extracts" and creates timely decision support and analytic tools (i.e geo-spatial, etc.).

The Department attempts to provide timely public health information. Data in years that are not yet finalized will change as new and corrected information are supplied to ODH and moved into the OPHDW.

Your use of these data does not imply that ODH agrees or disagrees with your analyses, interpretations, or conclusions in any report, publication, or presentation you may produce. Please use the following citation in any publication or release which uses or references data from the OPHDW: "These data were provided by the Ohio Department of Health. The Department specifically disclaims responsibility for any analyses, interpretations or conclusions".
